Soulful Scents for Slow Living
A Gentler Way to Scent Your Home
At Salt & Simmer Co, we believe home should be a sanctuary for you, your little ones, and the sweet creatures who share your space.
Traditional candles and incense often fill the air with open flames, smoke, soot, and harsh synthetic compounds. For growing lungs and sensitive respiratory systems, especially babies, young children, birds, cats, and pets with delicate airways, those heavy fumes can be a lot to carry.
We set out to create a cleaner, kinder alternative.
Crafted by the sea in Margate, Queensland, using pure botanical ingredients, our simmer pots release fragrance the way nature intended: through gentle steam. No open flames, no soot, no hidden nasties. Just warm, soulful aromas drifting softly through your space.
A Note on Family & Pet Safety:
While our botanical blends are a natural, flame-free choice, tiny hands and curious paws are naturally adventurous. We always recommend simmering your pots in a well-ventilated space, keeping hot water and dry botanicals safely out of reach of children and pets, and ensuring your little ones and animals can easily wander into another room if they prefer a quieter scent profile.
Meet the Makers Behind the Simmer
We’re Jill and Nate, locals to the beautiful Redcliffe Peninsula and the hearts behind Salt & Simmer Co.
Living right by the water, our days are shaped by coastal breeze, slow mornings, and the simple rituals that make four walls feel like a sanctuary. Salt & Simmer was born out of our own search for a gentler, more grounding way to scent our home, one that embraces the warmth of a quiet moment without the smoke or harsh fumes of traditional candles.
Every single botanical blend is handcrafted locally by us, inspired by the salt air, ocean light, and the slow rhythm of coastal living.
We created these blends for those quiet pockets of the day: when the kettle goes on, the air cools, and you finally have a moment to slow down, breathe deeply, and simply enjoy being home.
